What size seats are available?
The size of a seat depends on many factors, where they are used, if they have arms and who is sitting in it! As all our products are designed especially to suit we have no standard seat sizes. Incremental size seats are not used, space between aisles is maximised to give the most generous “seat space” possible. As a guide chairs without arms should be no less then 450mm and chairs with arms no less than 490mm. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to offer advice for your particular project.
Can chair types be tailored to suit?
Our chairs can be fitted in all types, floor fixed, riser fixed, portable, removable (to allow for provision of wheelchair bound patrons) and even “memory swivel” chairs can be used in balcony slip areas to create the perfect sightline and still meet guidelines in terms of means of escape. Get in touch and we can provide details on how to get the very best from your space using the various seat types.
Are all chairs the same angle?
The angle of the chair back can be tailored to suit the specific application. If in the stalls area of the theatre you may require a more laid back angle, it is more likely in a circle or upper balcony level you’d have something more upright. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to offer advice and provide examples of previous projects for reference.
Are different back heights available?
We can provide high back chairs or variations on any size; a higher back is often favoured in upper balcony areas when riser heights are at the highest to maintain best sightlines.
What finishes are available?
We have a selection of “standard” offerings but this is not to say you don’t have the choice of anything else, we can and have used a range of suppliers from all across the globe.
Seating fabric
Comes from the Bradbury Contracts Fabrics Flamblend range of FR Tweed with no restrictions on colour choice. We have often used multi colour layouts to create interest on the seating unit, get in touch and our in house design department will mock up a drawing.
Arms
As well upholstered to match main body of the seat arms can be provided in solid timber or plastic. Our in house woodworking shop can provide a bespoke finish and shape if required.
Outside backs / under-seat bottoms
Again in most instances these are upholstered to match the main body of the seat. We can provide plastic or timber panels to create a special look / feel. We have also provided perforated under-seat panels to assist with acoustic properties
Metalwork
All metalwork is powder coated “in house” to RAL 7016 anthracite grey. We are always happy to use a specially selected RAL colour to match in with your buildings colour scheme.
