Wall/Floor Fixed
These are permanently located retractable units, fixed to the wall and/or floor.
Recessed
Wall or floor attached units storing within a recess. Option of top loading from balcony or rear gallery.
Portable
Free standing units equipped with special fittings enabling the units to be lifted and moved to another location. Moving options: by means of built-in or separate hydraulic transporters, air flotation system or a forklift truck. Units can be stored in one part of the room and moved to another location.
Travelling
Travelling units allow the seating to be used in different areas of the theatre space, independent of its stored location. In the open position the unit can be unlocked from the rear fixings and electronically driven forward using the pendant control to any pre-determined point in the forward position. To ensure correct alignment in the stored position the unit can be steered when closed.
Reverse Closing
Minimises floor loading and assists with partial opening. The tiers open in the normal way; tier one, tier two etc. until fully open. The tiers then close from the rear tier downwards. This distributes the loading on the floor as the unit closes before it has reached its stored location. The unit can be left partially open for reduced capacity.
Partially Open
Allows the seating to be used partially open to give flexibility for reduced capacity events. On reverse close units, the tiers can be partially closed, leaving only the number of required positions accessible.
